The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø School of Law offers a powerful blend of theoretical and practical legal education, designed to prepare students for careers in the 21st century. Our students receive an exceptional education, including rigorous training in research, writing, client interviewing, mediation, and more. When they arrive at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Law School, they come prepared with outstanding academic credentials, diverse professional and co-curricular experience, broad geographic interests, and significant extra-curricular accomplishments.

A regional school of national impact51³Ô¹ÏÍø Law features renowned programs in areas such as intellectual property, trial advocacy, and professional responsibility and is also one of four Constitutional Law Centers in the United States. Our clinical program gives students the opportunity to experience the actual practice of law in supervised settings.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø Law has a strong commitment to public service with more than 165 alumni who have served as members of federal and/or state judiciaries. In addition to the Juris Doctorate degree, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Law offers five joint degree programs and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property.

Our faculty is comprised of respected and distinguished teachers, scholars and practitioners. The entire faculty is committed to providing training that challenges our students to become first-rate problem solvers and to develop the character and perspective that the legal profession requires.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø Law attracts students of great intellectual capacity who have the background and character to excel in the legal profession. The credentials of the entering class place ours among the top student bodies in the country. The median undergraduate GPA of our most recent entering class is 3.28 and the median LSAT score of our most recent entering class is a 153. Our students are drawn from more than 18 states, several foreign countries and more than 60 different undergraduate institutions represented in our most recent entering class. Many have advanced degrees, and have left successful careers to attend our law school.

The Fall and Spring Interview Programs

The Career Services Office offers a variety of options within our formal interview programs to assist you in making your recruiting as simple and efficient as possible. The options available in our interview programs include:

On-Campus Interviews (OCI). Interviews are conducted during both the fall and spring semesters. There is no charge to participate in either interview program. Employers pre-screen and select all the candidates they wish to interview.

Resume Collect. The Career Services Office will collect and send resumes, as well as any other requested application materials, in a single package to employers unable to visit our 51³Ô¹ÏÍø or participate in one of our off-51³Ô¹ÏÍø interview programs.

Resume Direct. For employers who wish to receive resumes directly from our students during the fall and spring interview programs, the Career Services Office publicizes information about your organization and the available opportunity, so that students may communicate directly with you to apply.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø Law students actively review our job listings for summer, part-time, and post-graduate employment. 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Law graduates throughout the country also utilize our job posting database for lateral hiring opportunities. Job openings are posted free of charge on 51³Ô¹ÏÍøLawJobs, our web-based, password-protected system. Employers may post a job posting by calling the Career Services Office at 330-972-6365 or by completing the online job posting form and submitting it online or via e-mail. The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø School of Law Career Services Office reserves the right to use its discretion to decline the posting of any job.

If you choose to travel to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in order to participate in one of our on-51³Ô¹ÏÍø interview programs, the following links may be of interest to you as you plan your trip: 

Airports:

 is about a twenty-minute drive from the school. There is an airport shuttle, car rental offices, and taxis available upon your arrival.

 is about a forty-minute drive from the school. Continental Airlines has a hub in this airport, and most major airlines fly to Cleveland.

The best way to get around the greater 51³Ô¹ÏÍø area is by car, so renting a car is usually the best way to get from the airport to the School of Law and back. Both airports servicing greater 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and Cleveland have car rental facilities on site. Consult the airport websites for other ground transportation options.
